đź’ˇ Bonus Thought Exercise: Choosing Reason over Emotions During Tumultuous Markets

Here's a bonus thought exercise to help you think better about tumultuous markets.

So…the stock market had a nice week.

~ Awkward silence ~

Here’s how I think when the market takes a tumble, the financial gurus are telling us we’re doomed, and my entrepreneurial mind is grasping for logic over emotion:

I put myself in the shoes of a founder who makes $500,000 a month.

A bad month for me would be making $400,000.

A really bad month would be $300,000.

This is my reminder that the idea of a “bad month” is completely subjective.

…and that the people having a “bad month” making $300k are still looking for ways to spend their money (both to grow their business and write off more for taxes).

As much as the financial gurus on the news and social media want to preach doom and gloom - the perspective I take determines whether I believe them or I see the obvious growth opportunities.

This week’s thought exercise is going to show you the opportunity behind the “doom.”

So, let's get into it.

  • It’ll take about 20 minutes

  • You don’t need to add any context - just copy and paste the prompt

  • Find the messaging that shows your customers (and reminds you) why they need your products and services.

  • Strategize creative customer acquisition strategies that lean into this messaging

Here's the prompt to copy and paste into Claude.ai:
